The President’s Award is given at the National President’s discretion to an individual the President wants to recognize, and is someone who has helped the president with his or her accomplishments during the year.  It has been awarded almost every year since 1978. Beginning on June 1, 2020, ASHE will have a new Southwest Region. ASHE has been growing in the South and Southwest, with new sections in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. These sections are joining an established section in Phoenix to form the new Southwest Region and add additional resources and geographic organization nationwide.
