ASHE presented the first Project of the Year (PotY) awards at the 2017 Conference in New York City. Each year, ASHE regions nominate projects of note in two categories, under $20,000,000 and over $20,000,000 for consideration by the National PotY committee. First year winning projects were the Skipp Spann Connector, from Georgia Section, and the Ohio River Downtown Bridges from the Derby City Section.
